Home

Ian, Chuck and I put in a few hours on 200MF Sunday before the super bowl. 200 is MFI's turbine powered DC-3. One of the engines came due for a 150 hr inspection. Chuck and I worked on exchanging the fuel nozzles and inspecting the ignitors. Ian and Brain worked on engine inspections. On Monday we continued the work we started until a little after lunch.

We started the drive home that afternoon and drove all night in order to beat the snow storm heading toward Ohio. The only bit of excitement along the way was a broken anti-sway bar in the rear end of the van. A quick stop at Home Depot for angle iron, hose clamps and duck tape and we were back on the road.

I've taken the rest of the week off to catch up on some work around the house. We've scraped and painted more bee boxes and I've began building a larger more efficient syrup evaporator. We are hoping to make 10 gallons or more of syrup this year. Keep checking back because I will have pictures of syrup season which starts in a few weeks.

Thank you for your prayers and thank you to the many people who checked in on Kristi and the kids while I was gone. Josh

  1. Gosh! You really have to like an airplane mech. who can fix things with hose clamps and duct tape. Red Green would be proud.

Great work (seriously!!!) Glad you are home.
